Arizona Football Player Arrested For Domestic Violence

University of Arizona football safety Scottie Young Jr., was arrested on Wednesday, Sept. 27, by UAPD for a domestic violence incident.

He appeared in Pima County Justice Court on Thursday. He was arrested and released on Wednesday.

Young is a freshman from San Diego, where he attended Helix High School.

He’s charged with misdemeanor assault knowingly causing injury, he is scheduled for arraignment on October 11, according to court documents.

The University of Arizona Athletics Department released the following statement:

“We’re aware that Scottie Young was charged with a misdemeanor, as was the other party involved. We are working with the university’s Dean of Students Office to gather more information.”
