Kentucky Football Player Arrested for Drug Trafficking

A University of Kentucky football player was arrested early Thursday morning, May 24, in Lexington, Kentucky.

Wildcats defensive back Marcus Walker was arrested on charges of trafficking marijuana and trafficking cocaine and possession of paraphernalia. Walker was booked into jail just before 6 a.m. Thursday.

Walker had about five pounds of marijuana and an ounce of cocaine, according to an arrest citation. Police also found a large amount of cash and a cash counter when executing a search warrant.

Police said that officers were called to the home on a report of some sort of disorder and that investigation led to the search warrant that led to Walker’s arrest.

UK has not made a public comment on the arrest.
